MyRideGH is committed to providing safe, reliable, and comfortable transport services for all passengers in Ghana. This Passenger Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior of all passengers using the platform and boarding MyRideGH vehicles. By using the platform and boarding a MyRideGH vehicle, passengers agree to comply with this Code.
1. Respect for Others
1.1 Passengers must treat other passengers, drivers, and staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
1.2 Any form of harassment, verbal abuse, or physical aggression toward others is strictly prohibited.
1.3 Disruptive behavior, including excessive noise, offensive language, or inappropriate conduct, will not be tolerated.
2. Compliance with Boarding and Travel Instructions
2.1 Passengers must follow all instructions from drivers, conductors, and MyRideGH staff, including those regarding seating, boarding, and disembarking.
2.2 Passengers are required to present valid digital tickets or QR codes for verification prior to boarding.
2.3 Compliance with local traffic and safety regulations is mandatory. Passengers must not engage in actions that jeopardize the safety of the vehicle, other passengers, or road users.
3. Prohibited Behavior
Passengers must not:
- Engage in illegal activities while on the vehicle, including drug use, theft, or vandalism.
- Obstruct boarding, disembarking, or operations of the driver or staff.
- Tamper with MyRideGH devices, payment systems, or QR scanners.
- Carry prohibited or dangerous items that may threaten safety.
4. Consequences of Misbehavior
4.1 MyRideGH reserves the right to deny boarding or remove passengers from the vehicle for any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct.
4.2 Passengers found in violation may have their accounts temporarily or permanently suspended from the platform.
4.3 Any damage caused to the vehicle, equipment, or other passengers may result in:
- Compensation claims for damages
- Referral to the appropriate law enforcement authorities in Ghana
4.4 Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent prohibition from using MyRideGH services.
5. Safety and Cooperation
5.1 Passengers must cooperate with drivers and staff in maintaining a safe travel environment.
5.2 Follow instructions in the event of emergencies, including accidents, breakdowns, or adverse weather conditions.
5.3 Passengers are responsible for securing their personal belongings and ensuring their own safety during travel.
6. Reporting Misconduct
6.1 Passengers are encouraged to report misconduct or safety concerns through the MyRideGH support channels.
6.2 Reports will be reviewed promptly, and necessary actions will be taken to protect other passengers, drivers, and the integrity of the platform.
7. Legal Framework and Compliance
7.1 This Code of Conduct is enforced in accordance with Ghanaian laws, including:
- The Road Traffic Act, 2012 (Act 843) for road and transport safety
- Public safety regulations enforced by the Ghana Police Service and Transport Authorities
7.2 Misbehavior may lead to civil or criminal liability under Ghanaian law, in addition to platform sanctions.
