Wallet Policy

This Wallet Policy governs the use of the MyRideGH Wallet, a digital account on the MyRideGH platform used to store funds for booking trips. By using the wallet, users agree to comply with this policy and acknowledge its terms.


1. Wallet Usage

1.1 The MyRideGH Wallet is a digital account that allows users to store funds exclusively for the purpose of booking trips or services offered through the MyRideGH platform.

1.2 Funds in the wallet are non-withdrawable. Users cannot convert wallet balances to cash, transfer to bank accounts, or redeem through third-party payment systems.

1.3 Wallet balances can be used at any time for any booking within MyRideGH, subject to seat availability and the company’s operational rules.

1.4 Wallet balances do not accrue interest. MyRideGH is not liable for any loss of potential gains on wallet funds.


2. Transaction Records

2.1 All wallet transactions, including funding, booking payments, and refunds, are recorded and displayed in the user’s account history.

2.2 Users can view:

  • Current wallet balance
  • Payment history with timestamps
  • Refunds credited to the wallet

2.3 Users should review their wallet transaction history regularly to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies to MyRideGH immediately.


3. Wallet Top-Ups and Refunds

3.1 Users can add funds to the wallet using approved payment methods, including mobile money (MoMo), bank transfers, or cards.

3.2 Refunds from canceled bookings or adjustments are credited to the wallet only. Such refunds cannot be converted to cash or withdrawn.

3.3 Wallet funds credited from refunds may be used for future bookings at any time, providing flexibility while maintaining secure digital processing.


4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, including email, password, and any authentication tokens.

4.2 MyRideGH will not be liable for any unauthorized access, losses, or misuse of wallet funds resulting from:

  • Sharing credentials
  • Loss or theft of devices
  • Negligence in securing login information

4.3 Users must report any suspected unauthorized activity to MyRideGH immediately. The company will investigate and may temporarily suspend the wallet to prevent further unauthorized transactions.


5. Security Measures

5.1 MyRideGH implements robust security measures to protect wallet balances, including:

  • Encryption of sensitive data during transmission and storage
  • Access control for company personnel
  • Fraud monitoring systems to detect unusual transactions
  • Regular system audits to ensure compliance with Ghanaian legal and financial regulations

5.2 Despite these measures, users must follow recommended practices, including:

  • Using strong, unique passwords
  • Logging out after each session
  • Enabling device security measures such as PINs or biometric authentication

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 MyRideGH shall not be liable for:

  • Unauthorized transactions due to user negligence
  • Loss of wallet funds caused by third-party breaches outside the company’s control
  • Errors in transaction processing that are promptly reported and verified

6.2 Users acknowledge that the wallet is a prepaid digital facility and is not a bank account. All funds are intended for booking and service payments on the platform only.


7. Amendments and Updates

7.1 MyRideGH may update the Wallet Policy from time to time to reflect operational changes, legal requirements, or security enhancements.

7.2 Changes will be communicated via the platform or email, and continued use of the wallet constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
