Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs the refund of ticket purchases and cancellations of bookings made through MyRideGH. By using the platform, you agree to comply with the terms outlined herein.


1. Ticket Refunds

1.1 All paid tickets are eligible for refund only through the MyRideGH Wallet.

1.2 Refunds will not be processed as cash withdrawals or to third-party accounts; instead, the refunded amount will be credited to the user’s wallet for future bookings.

1.3 The wallet balance can be used at any time for booking trips on MyRideGH, with no expiration period.

1.4 Refunds will not accrue interest and cannot be transferred or redeemed outside the platform.


2. Cancellation Rules and Timing

2.1 Users may cancel a booking through the platform before the scheduled departure time.

2.2 Refund amount depends on how far in advance the cancellation is made:

  • Full Refund: If canceled 24 hours or more before departure.
  • Partial Refund: If canceled between 2–24 hours before departure (a deduction fee may apply to cover operational costs).
  • No Refund: If canceled less than 2 hours before departure or if the passenger fails to board without prior cancellation.

2.3 Any discrepancies or disputes regarding cancellation timing must be reported immediately to MyRideGH Customer Support for verification.


3. Special Circumstances

3.1 Refunds may also be processed for:

  • Trip cancellations by MyRideGH or its transport partners
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, or road closures)

3.2 In these cases, the full ticket amount will be credited to the user’s wallet, unless otherwise communicated.


4. Wallet Restrictions and Use

4.1 All refunded funds are stored in the MyRideGH Wallet and may only be used for future bookings on the platform.

4.2 Wallet balances are non-withdrawable, meaning users cannot convert them to cash, transfer to bank accounts, or redeem through other payment systems.

4.3 Wallet funds do not expire and can be used for any trip on MyRideGH at any time, subject to availability of bookings and seats.

4.4 Users are responsible for securing their wallet login credentials. MyRideGH will not be liable for unauthorized use of wallet balances due to user negligence.


5. Refund Processing Time

5.1 Refunds to the wallet will be processed within 48 hours of verified cancellation.

5.2 MyRideGH reserves the right to verify the validity of each refund request and may deny refunds if fraudulent activity or misuse is detected.

5.3 Users will receive confirmation via email or app notification once the refund has been credited to their wallet.


6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 MyRideGH is not responsible for financial losses caused by:

  • Delays in processing refunds due to banking or system issues
  • User errors in booking or cancellation
  • Use of the wallet by unauthorized parties

6.2 Refunds are subject to the company’s terms and Ghanaian laws, including the Data Protection Act and consumer protection guidelines.


7. Amendments to the Policy

7.1 MyRideGH may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy periodically.

7.2 Updates are effective immediately upon posting on the platform. Users are encouraged to review the policy before making bookings.

7.3 Continued use of MyRideGH after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
